For US sellers, Depop charges no selling fee. The number below is Depop Payments processing: 3.3% + $0.45, charged on the item price plus shipping and any sales tax. Type the amount those fees apply to. Boost adds 12% of the item price, excluding tax, and only when the sale counts as a boosted sale. UK and Australia sellers also pay no Depop selling fee, but their processing fees are different, so do not use this page for those sales. Sellers outside the UK, US, and Australia pay a 10% selling fee, which is not calculated here.

Quick reference

These seven amounts are calculated with the same formula as the tool, so the fee and the amount you keep are on the page before you type anything.

US Depop Payments, listing not boosted. Shipping and tax are included only if you type them in.

Why a small payment keeps less

On $25.00, using Depop Payments (US), the fee is $1.28 and you keep $23.72. The effective rate is 5.12%. On $500.00 the fee is $16.95, you keep $483.05, and the effective rate is 3.39%. The percentage scales with the amount. The fixed fee does not, so it takes a larger share of a small payment.

The $0.45 does not shrink on a smaller item. Boost is separate: it adds 12% of the amount you enter, and only when you turn it on. On a real boosted sale the 12% is the item price excluding tax, plus your own shipping if you did not use a Depop label.

Questions

Does Depop charge US sellers a selling fee?

No. For US sellers, Depop charges no selling fee, so a depop selling fees calculator should show $0 for that line. The 3.3% + $0.45 is US payment processing only. This is not a Depop shipping calculator. UK and Australia sellers also pay no Depop selling fee, but their processing rates differ. Sellers outside the UK, US, and Australia pay a 10% selling fee, which is not included here.

What is the 3.3% + $0.45 on Depop?

That is the US Depop Payments processing fee, not a selling fee. Depop charges it on the item price plus shipping and any sales tax. On a $30 item, with no shipping or tax added, the fee is $1.44 and you keep $28.56.

How much do I keep on a $30 Depop sale?

You keep $28.56 if the $30 is the whole amount the processing fee applies to and the listing was not boosted. The fee is $0.99 + $0.45. Add shipping and tax into the amount when the buyer paid them, because Depop charges processing on those too.

Is Depop Boost worth the 12%?

Boost adds 12% and is charged only when the sale counts as boosted. On a $100 item that is $12, on top of $3.30 + $0.45, so the fees are $15.75 and you keep $84.25. It pays for itself only when the boost is what made that sale. The processing fee is charged either way. For US listings the 12% applies to the item price excluding tax.

Do UK Depop sellers pay the same fee?

No. Do not use these US figures for a UK sale. UK sellers also pay no Depop selling fee, but the UK processing fee is 2.9% + £0.30. Australia is 2.6% + A$0.30. Those are different currencies and different rates.

Does Depop return the fee if the buyer is refunded?

Yes. Depop says the selling fee, the payment processing fee, and the boosting fee are reversed when the sale is refunded. For Depop Payments that reversal is automatic.
